PA Presenters is seeking experienced and seasoned professionals from all sectors of our field, including presenters, agents, artists, managers, marketing, box office, technical, consultants, service providers, and all the rest, that are willing to share their wisdom and know-how with new colleagues to the industry or university students looking to pursue a career in the performing arts world.
By enrolling, you agree to meet with a mentee you’ve been matched with for 30 - 45 minutes, either virtually or in-person. During this meeting, it is expected that you’ll:
· Give a brief overview of the work you do in your role, from the “big picture” standpoint as well as speak about your “typical” day on the job.
· You’ll solicit questions from the mentee, helping them feel comfortable to ask, which may require you to “warm them up” by asking them some questions first.
· Before the meeting is through, you’ll leave the mentee with at least one tangible take-away or one actionable piece of advice.
The way this will come together.
Select one of the two forms below to register your interest; each will only take a minute to fill out.
The Mentorship Program subcommittee will collect all forms and match mentees with mentors. The committee will ensure that mentors are only matched on the frequency they agree to.
WE NEED EVERYONE’S HELP.
Whether you wish to participate as a mentor, mentee, or not at all, we need help in getting this program to those who may wish to participate, especially mentees. Again, mentees may be someone who works with you and is new to the field or new to their role, or they may be a college student who is studying arts administration, event management, music performance, or a similar course of study.
